In a show of unwavering loyalty, Kerry Katona has launched a scathing attack on Katie Price's former partners, singling out Peter Andre and claiming they owe their fame to her.
A Fierce Defence
The former Atomic Kitten star, 45, did not hold back during a recent interview, staunchly defending her close friend and touring partner. Kerry insisted that Katie Price's ex-husbands, including the 'Mysterious Girl' singer Peter Andre, would have achieved little notoriety without their connection to the glamour model.
'None of them would have been anything without her,' Kerry stated bluntly. 'Peter Andre would have been no one without her.' She elaborated that in her view, these men simply 'clung to her coat-tails' and capitalised on the media attention that constantly surrounded Katie.
The I'm A Celebrity Connection
Katie Price, also a mother of five, first met Peter Andre back in 2004 when they were both contestants on the hit reality show 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'. The nation watched as their romance blossomed in the Australian jungle, leading to a highly publicised marriage.
However, according to Kerry's account, it was always Katie who was the real draw for the press. She suggested that Andre, despite his own burgeoning pop career at the time, was merely 'reaping the rewards' of Price's established fame and notoriety.
Beyond the Headlines: Friendship and Strength
Amidst the fiery comments about Price's exes, Kerry also painted a picture of their genuine off-screen friendship, revealing a more mundane side to their lives. 'I think people would be surprised about how boring we are,' she told The Mail. 'Last time she was here we sat in our jammies and watched crime on TV.'
The interview also touched upon Katie Price's well-documented personal struggles, including her bankruptcy, which was declared in 2019 and again in March of last year, forcing the sale of her famous 'Mucky Mansion'. Despite these challenges, Kerry expressed immense admiration for her friend's resilience.
'Kate is not fragile. She’s the strongest woman I know,' Kerry asserted. 'She’s also more sober, more together, than anyone gives her credit for. And she will get her empire back. I am in awe of her.'
This powerful defence highlights the deep bond between the two reality stars, proving that in the volatile world of showbusiness, loyal friendship can be the most valuable asset of all.
