Vanessa Williams has showcased the results of her latest aesthetic treatments in a candid Instagram clip posted on Monday. The 63-year-old theatre star, currently portraying Miranda Priestly in the West End production of The Devil Wears Prada, looked remarkable as she demonstrated how she maintains her youthful appearance.
Regenerative Treatment Details
Sitting in a chair at her local clinic, the actress was seen receiving a 'regenerative treatment' injected into her face and neck. Claiming the procedure required no recovery period, Williams revealed the results just four hours later. Backstage in her dressing room, she applied makeup for that evening's performance and stated that 'no one would even know' she had undergone treatment, as the needle points were barely visible under her makeup.
Role and Reception
The play follows aspiring journalist Andy Sachs, played by Georgie Buckland, as she secures a job at the prestigious Runway magazine, headed by Miranda Priestly, portrayed by Williams. An Emmy and Tony nominee, Williams is best known for her role as Wilhelmina Slater in Ugly Betty, another demanding fashion magazine boss. Although Miranda is known for being cold and ruthless, a critic from City AM noted that Williams adopted a 'soft-around-the-edges' approach, which some felt lacked the necessary fear factor. The Times remarked that while the costumes sparkle, the production felt more like 'John Lewis' than Valentino. Williams is scheduled to conclude her run in the West End production on October 17, 2026.
Weight Loss Journey
Williams's recent aesthetic treatment follows her continued weight-loss journey. She has previously branded Mounjaro 'a game-changer' after using weight-loss injections for two years to 'look her best at 60.' In an interview with Hello! magazine, she confirmed she has been taking tirzepatide, the GLP-1 medication known as Mounjaro in the UK. 'It's a game‑changer. When I turned 60, I was like: "I want to be here for a long time, and I want to look my best. So what am I going to do?"' she stated.
