Meghan Markle Shares Sweet Anniversary Video with Harry

Meghan Markle has delighted fans by sharing a sweet video of Prince Harry presenting her with a cake and a penguin statue as the couple celebrates their eighth wedding anniversary. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who now reside in Montecito with their two children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, four, were married at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in 2018. The ceremony was attended by high-profile guests including Sir David Beckham, George Clooney, and Oprah Winfrey.

Anniversary Celebrations

In an Instagram story, Meghan filmed Harry singing 'Happy anniversary' while carrying a lemon elderflower cake adorned with four candles. The couple's children could be heard joyfully singing in the background before exclaiming 'Blow it out'. Meghan also revealed that Harry gifted her a statue of two penguins arm in arm, a nod to the penguin costumes they wore at their engagement party. She posted a picture of the pair kissing in their kitchen and a selfie of them dressed in penguin onesies.

Unseen Wedding Photos

Earlier, Meghan shared a collection of previously unseen photographs from their wedding day on Instagram. 'Eight years ago today…', she captioned the posts. One image captured a glimpse of the couple's first dance at their evening reception at Frogmore House, where they shared a passionate kiss. Another post featured snaps from the ceremony at St George's Chapel, which was watched by an estimated 1.9 billion people and attended by A-listers such as Oprah Winfrey, Sir David Beckham, and George Clooney.

Notably, Sir Elton John, who performed at the wedding, and Isabel May, a British PR executive and close confidante of Meghan, appeared in the photographs. The Royal Family, apart from a brief glimpse of King Charles after he walked Meghan down the aisle, were absent from the wedding photos, reflecting the rift between the Sussexes and the Prince and Princess of Wales. The only guest Harry was pictured hugging was Isabel, while Meghan was seen chatting with her mother, Doria Ragland, who was partially out of frame.

The carousel of snaps included the newlyweds sharing a tender moment after the ceremony and behind-the-scenes photographs of the couple having their official wedding portrait taken.
