Bethenny Frankel Reveals Her Super Tan Secrets for SI Swimsuit Runway in Miami
Bethenny Frankel's Tan Secrets for SI Swimsuit Runway

Bethenny Frankel has revealed the secret behind her stunning deep bronze tan while wearing a Baywatch-inspired red swimsuit in Miami last week. It turns out that it took two professionals to achieve the perfect look.

The Tanning Process

For her appearance on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit runway, the 55-year-old Bravo veteran's radiant tan was crafted by the team at Golden Girls NY. The mobile spray tanning company, based in New York City, flew to Miami specifically to assist the star during the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show. They used professional-strength Loving Tan formulas, including the brand's new 10 Min Express Self-Tanning Smoothing Body Mask, to give Frankel her sun-kissed glow.

Outfit and Look

Frankel channeled Pamela Anderson from the hit show Baywatch as she slipped into a red swimsuit. She also donned a flirty light bronde wig with soft waves, adding a youthful touch to her appearance. Earlier, she was spotted in a crochet striped bikini, showing off her toned abs, before changing into a strappy black two-piece with fingerless gloves. The Skinnygirl founder also wore Grippy CAKES triangles underneath her gold two-piece.

Runway Appearance

The reality star was seen dancing down the runway alongside Erin Marley Klay, one of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2026 Rookies. Backstage, she appeared to be having fun, as captured in a video where she danced with the models. Frankel captioned the clip: 'Your mother has arrived @si_swimsuit #siswim #yourewelcome'.

Personal Life

Frankel also posed with her new boyfriend, Shane Campbell, a former professional hockey player and investment banker. Earlier this month, she went Instagram official with Campbell, sharing a photo of them passionately kissing during a roller skating date. She captioned the snap: 'If a launch is hard this is a diamond...' The couple was first linked last month and made their public debut at the 2026 Global Champions Arabians Tour in Miami Beach.

Thoughts on Reality TV

In March, Frankel expressed that a return to Real Housewives would not be 'good for business.' She opened up about her decision not to join the new spinoff series The Golden Life on E!, which features some of her former Real Housewives of New York City castmates. In an Instagram video, she explained: 'It used to be good when I was promoting my own business. But now that I work with a lot of other brands and have different types of equity deals and partners, they don’t look highly upon that genre. They kind of like that it’s in the rearview.'

She added that even if the spinoff had the budget to bring her back, the other cast members would likely 'resent' her for the high salary. 'Despite some of the women asking if I would come back, the amount of money it would take for me to come back — that E! could presumably never pay — would make the other Housewives resent me so much, which did happen before,' she said. While she described the spinoff as a 'savage, amazing move' by the network, she is content staying on the sidelines. 'I like my life now. I like not having to do anything anyone else tells me to do or be anywhere anyone else tells me to be. Protecting my peace and this stage of life is very important to me,' she concluded.
