Family Favourites at Vue Livingston This Summer

Families in West Lothian can enjoy a summer of big-screen entertainment at Vue Livingston, with a lineup of animated adventures and family favourites to coincide with the Scottish school holidays. The cinema has announced a programme that includes the latest Toy Story instalment, new Minions antics, and special discounted screenings.

Toy Story 5 Arrives for the Holidays

Toy Story 5, the newest adventure of Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the gang, is now showing at Vue Livingston, just in time for the start of the summer break. This time, the toys face a new challenge when Bonnie receives a tablet, blending playtime with technology. The film offers heartfelt moments and laughs as the characters contend with this digital threat to playtime.

The release of Toy Story 5 marks the beginning of a summer packed with family-oriented screenings, offering parents and children a chance to spend quality time together now that school is out.

Minions & Monsters from July 1

From July 1, Vue Livingston will screen Minions & Monsters, a new animated feature set in the Despicable Me universe. The film follows the beloved henchmen as they conquer Hollywood, become movie stars, and accidentally unleash monsters upon the world. Audiences will see if the Minions can save the planet from their own monstrous mistakes.

Other family hits on the schedule include Disney's live-action Moana and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, both arriving during the summer holidays.

Mighty Mornings and Big Shorts for Younger Viewers

Vue's Mighty Mornings screenings will take place daily throughout the break, offering recent family favourites at a low price. Tickets start from just £2.49 when booked online, and the programme includes titles like Charlie the Wonderdog. These screenings are ideal for children aged four to 11.

For younger audiences, Vue's Big Shorts series returns, aimed at children between one and four years old. These screenings are hosted in a relaxed environment with dimmed lighting. A special screening of Zog & Zog and the Flying Doctors will be available.

Summer Passport Book and Discounts

Vue has launched a new Summer Passport Book, a collectible adventure-style experience designed to encourage young film fans to enjoy more big-screen moments. Families can gather stamps for their passport book when visiting Vue for the latest family releases. They are encouraged to share photos of their passport books and adventures on a dedicated Vue Facebook post for a chance to win a £25 Vue gift card.

Additionally, Vue is introducing new discounted kids' tickets in partnership with the Great British Summer Savings scheme. Children aged 14 and under can enjoy big-screen escapes, providing an affordable way to keep the family entertained over the summer.

Andrew Dyke, General Manager at Vue in Livingston, said: “As we head into the school holidays, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Vue. From live-action reimaginings to animated adventures, it’s the perfect destination for families to escape, unwind and get lost in great stories on the big screen.”
