Tess Crosley has taken down her Instagram account and replaced it with a new one under her maiden name, Tess Caesar. The mother of one now goes by the handle tess.caesar, and the account has been switched to private, unlike her previous public profile. The change occurred on Wednesday night.
At the time of writing, she had 59 followers, including her husband Ben and two of his close friends, Tom Bennallack and Seth Mutton. Crosley explained the switch, stating that her main account kept getting hacked amid the continuing fallout from her alleged involvement in the breakdown of Jules and Lachie Neale's marriage.
Details of the split first emerged late last year, with reports alleging that Neale had been seen in a compromising position in a car with Crosley, who had previously been part of the couple's close social circle. The 30-year-old still uses the name Tess Crosley on TikTok, where she has nearly 55,000 followers.
Last month, Crosley used Instagram to make an emotional plea for people to leave her son out of the scandal's aftermath. In an Instagram story, she singled out a person who insulted her in public while she was with her child. 'I want to make this very clear, it is never acceptable for anyone to approach a stranger in public and make derogatory comments or (aim) abuse at them, especially when they are simply trying to care for their child's needs,' her post began. 'My child does not deserve to be exposed to that kind of behaviour. No child does. While I navigate my own challenges, my priority remains protecting and shielding my children from unnecessary hostility and cruelty in everyday situations.'
That statement followed another social media post on April 27 that intrigued many followers. The series of images on Instagram included a photo taken at a bar, accompanied by a caption with a love-heart and a spade emoji. The post drew attention as the location appeared identical to a venue previously shared by Lachie Neale in his own posts. The same band appears to be playing in both images, and Neale was tagged in Crosley's image by one of her followers. The coincidence sparked fresh speculation, despite Neale's camp previously denying they remain in contact.
Crosley, a former Mormon missionary, has remained largely silent throughout the fallout but her social media activity continues to generate discussion. Her most recent TikTok video showed her holding her young son Beau while wearing leggings and a jacket, with the caption 'Mummy first but sometimes...' The video then switches to her wearing a revealing top and mini-skirt with the caption 'Mamiiiiii,' slang for an attractive woman.
This week, Jules Neale revealed she is looking to buy a home in Perth to raise her son and daughter with Lachie, another sign that their split is final. 'It's the beginning of our next chapter,' Jules told News Corp. 'We're still living with my parents at the moment, which has been really nice.'
