Georgina Rodriguez, the girlfriend of Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo, is set to share her extraordinary life story in a new Netflix documentary titled I am Georgina. The series, which debuts on 27 January, will showcase her current life of luxury while also delving into her humble beginnings.
The 27-year-old model and dancer met Ronaldo five years ago while working at a Gucci store in Madrid. In the documentary, she recounts the fateful encounter and how her life transformed from struggling to make ends meet to enjoying a jet-set lifestyle. As a teenager, she lived in a tiny converted storage room in Madrid and briefly worked as an au pair in Bristol, England, to learn English.
Now, Rodriguez is a devoted mother to four children—Alana, Cristiano Jr., and twins Eva and Mateo—and is pregnant with twins. The family resides in a mansion in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. The documentary, filmed over the past year, captures her glamorous photoshoots, designer outfits, and moments with her children, as well as her return to her hometown of Jaca in the Pyrenees, Spain.
In the trailer, Rodriguez reflects on her journey: 'I used to dream of having a prince charming by my side and now I have him.' Ronaldo also appears, saying, 'She's the woman I'm completely in love with.' The series promises an intimate look at her motherhood, relationship, and daily life, from fashion shows to exotic parties.
Rodriguez, who turns 28 on the documentary's release date, says, 'I don't think I'm a phenomenon but I do think I'm a lucky woman.' The series aims to reveal the woman behind the headlines, showing both her public and personal sides.
